Colon Hydrotherapy Certification Course

Next course July, 2010

This Certification Course trains on two open-sytem colon hydrotherapy devices: Angel of Water and Jimmy John. Nancy Spahr, CNHP, Health Coach, and Certified Body Ecologist, has seven years experience as owner of a successful and progressive colon hydrotherapy center and established clientele. Nancy will share her experiences and incorporate Body Ecology Principles throughout the course. 


Level One – I-ACT Foundation Level

The Certification Course trains and tests the student to become a Certified Colon Hydrotherapist and advances your knowledge of colon hydrotherapy in accordance with the International Association for Colon Hydrotherapists (I-ACT) procedures and guidelines in preparation for taking the I-ACT Certification Examination in Colon Hydrotherapy – Foundation Level.  In accord with I-ACT requirements, the program requires a minimum of 100 hours of education/training/theory in:

·         Business Ethics/Office Procedures (5 hrs)

·         Health & Sanitation (5 hrs)

·         Anatomy & Physiology – Focus is on digestion(45 hrs)

·         Colon Hydrotherapy Theory/History (5 hrs)

·         Complementary Modalities (5 hrs)

·         Hands-on Colon Hydrotherapy Practicum (35 hrs.)

 

Pre-requisites for Colon Hydrotherapy Course

1.    High School Diploma or the equivalent documentation.

2.    Complete and show proof of a post secondary (or higher) Anatomy and Physiology (A&P) Course of at least 3 credit hours.  Options to receive this training include:

  ·         Local community college or university.

3.    Show Proof of having taken a CPR Class – CPR card.

4.    Received 1-3 Colonics prior to entering the certification course.

5.    Must be an I-ACT member prior to taking any I-ACT exam.

6.    An Anatomy and Physiology Pre-test will be given prior to entry to the course to determine the student has the appropriate level of A&P knowledge.

Certification Program Requirements for Completion

In order to successfully complete the Program and be eligible to take the I-ACT Certification Examination, each student is expected to:

·         Submit an application

·         Attend all scheduled class sessions for a total of 100 classroom and practicum hours.

·         Participate fully in all class sessions.

·         Successfully complete Practicum:  must participate in a minimum of 25-30 colon hydrotherapy sessions during the term of the Program.  This includes actual hands-on experience, practical application of procedures, guidelines, and follow-up protocols, and documentation of all sessions.

·         Perform Practicum in a professional manner.  This includes using appropriate technical language, wearing appropriate attire, performing practice sessions with confidence, and providing compassionate, knowledgeable attention to client’s needs.

·         A 50 question test will be given at the end of the program for certification by Cleansing Waters.

·          Be an I-ACT Member in Good Standing. This is mandatory to receiving the testing and certification. 

 

 

Program Fee

      The total investment of this Program is $2000 which includes the following:

·         100 hours of classroom and actual hands-on practice at Cleansing Waters

·         I-ACT approved study materials, including a colon hydrotherapy training manual.

·         Program Fee does not include:

o    I-ACT Certification Examination Fee $75

o    I-ACT Membership Fee of $150

o    Scrubs to be worn during business hours.

o    CPR Card class approximately $45

·         A non-refundable $400 deposit will collected at the time of reservation. Course is limited to only 4 participants.
